STUDENTS!

We Lead CS teachers are certified Kentucky teachers - certified to teach high school and dual credit courses with Kentucky community colleges and universities.  

Our faculty members have industry expertise and passion for making virtual classrooms places where students learn to solve problems, work with others, and apply what they are learning to real workplace projects.

Our College & Career Coaches are caring mentors who provided personalized guidance to students as they prepare for the future.

Students can earn 18-21 hours of computer science college credit  in high school as they participate in We Lead CS dual credit career pathways - in computer programming, cybersecurity, or data science.  

Students can transfer those credits and accelerate completion of a computer science associate or bachelor's degree needed for jobs that pay - on average in KY - $70,000 a year.

We Lead CS students will learn about career options, get hands-on experience, develop tools and skills to compete in the workforce, build a professional network, and leave high school with a plan to achieve their goals for a career in the tech workforce.

We Lead CS business partners represent some of the largest tech employers in the nation - including 5/3 Bank, 84.51, GE Aviation, Great American Insurance, and Procter & Gamble.

Students will learn from the best in tech about the wide variety of career options in the  industry during virtual job shadowing events.  Our partners will help students develop a resume and learn to interview for jobs, collaborate in GitHub, and build a LinkedIn profile for career networking in career camps built into We Lead CS classes. Students will have opportunities to apply for paid internships leading up to their senior year.
